AI Visual Development & Character Integration
Overview
A visual development pipeline designed to solve multi-subject consistency in Generative AI. This project adapts a VFX “plates” workflow to maintain the likeness of a human subject and two pets within a cohesive, Pre-Raphaelite and Romanticism-inspired reinterpretation of The Empress (Rider-Waite tarot card).
The Challenge
Preserve subject identity (human + two pets) while integrating structured symbolic elements into a unified visual system—without breaking lighting, texture, or realism.

AI struggles with multi-subject control.
Consistency improves when generation is modular, not monolithic.
Strategy — Modular Assembly System
I applied a VFX-inspired layering workflow to decouple the creative elements:
Subject Systems: Isynchronized the "DNA" of the human, cat, and dog.
Symbolic Systems: Isolated the crown, wheat, and Venusian iconography.
Environment Systems: Established the landscape and lighting rig separately.
Each component is generated independently, then unified through controlled composition.

Execution
Subject Prototyping: Engineered high-fidelity reference "seeds" to lock subject identity across all subsequent renders.
Component Generation: Utilized Midjourney to generate subjects and symbols as independent assets, ensuring maximum resolution and detail.
Creative Direction: Standardized a "Venusian" color palette and directional rim-lighting to harmonize the modular elements.
Compositing & Finishing: Assembled the final plate in Adobe Photoshop, followed by a neural "In-painting" pass to unify textures and resolve edge-blending.
Result
A production-ready hero image that achieves 100% character representation and clear symbolic hierarchy without the "visual noise" typical of unmanaged AI generations.
